It's a first for Dressing Miss Dolly to cover style for guys, but something that I should probably devote a little bit more time too. Ever enthusiastic to promote upcoming designers, it seemed appropriate to use this premier post to draw your attention to local (for me), Manchester based fashion label, Frater. Created just last year by 21-year old, Michael Brown, the SS11 collection is a fresh take on men's wardrobe classics; tees, hoodies and shirts. Influenced by the pulse of the fashion and music scene in Manchester, the pieces have a laid back, urban vibe with an occasional grunge twist. Though intentionally made for men, I wouldn't mind the Apollo tee myself. The bonus? Frater is actually an affordable label too.
To celebrate the release of Frater's SS11 lookbook, the label is holding a party this Sunday at Manchester's Deaf Institute in association with VICE, and for the first lucky 150 people through the door, you'll pick up a free gift bag.
See you there?
A post for the VICE Blogging Network.
