Fashion: The Cast of Downton Abbey Cover LOVE Magazine

On my bookshelf, alongside a substantial pile of chronologically ordered ELLE's and Vogue's, you'll also find my collection of 'heavies' - magazines such as LOVE and POP that collectively must weigh more than I do. LOVE anchors my bookshelf to the ground as I'm usually unable to refrain from buying more than one copy of an issue due to the range of covers they offer (up to 8 per issue!), and the latest copy is set to be no exception.

Issue 8 offers readers a choice of 4 covers photographed by Mert and Marcus, which feature the stars of the hit UK drama series Downton Abbey; Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Jessica Brown Findlay and James Collier.

Personally, I've never got around to watching Downton Abbey, but I love the covers, which goes to show that they're still appealing even if you're not a fan of the series. The actors are also a pretty unexpected choice as cover stars, but the popularity of Downton Abbey in both the UK and the USA is bound to ensure it will be a popular issue. 

I've already eliminated James's cover from my choice as his looks pretty ordinary compared to the transformations that the actresses have undergone. I'm sure it will be Laura Carmichael's pink candy floss wig that makes it onto my shelf.
