Here's some of the lovely gifts I received, including a Vogue UK subscription finally! I've been meaning to get one for a while, but never get around to doing it. I wish they did a subscribers cover like ELLE UK, just to make it a bit more special.
I'm still waiting to see what presents my boyfriend has bought me, as they got delivered after Christmas and he's still waiting on three (I think) to arrive from Asos. He ordered them on 13th December, which seems ages ago now. Hopefully they will turn up soon! I ordered boots on the 16th from there and they arrived on 20th, so I hope the presents haven't been lost in the snow somewhere.
These are the boots I need your opinion on:
They're the Avenue boots from Asos. I've wanted them for ages, but couldn't afford the £60 they were originally. Then they went down to £38 and I was very tempted, but luckily I didn't buy them then as they went down to £33 the next day. With NUS discount they were a bargain at £29! They looked incredible styled with various dresses on the site and didn't look anywhere near as high as they are in real life. The website says they're 6.8 inches in total and they feel it. When I wear them my ankle is completely vertical! I'm a big fan of big heels, but even these are pushing it for me, so I don't know whether to send them back or to sell them on to my flatmate, who is braver/less ankle aware than I am. There was not a chance I could have worn these out in the snow, so I might take them for a test walk today. I just don't want them to be left at the bottom of my wardrobe never worn. What do you think?

I love those boots, I'd wear them with everything! So jealous you got a tub of milk bottles <3
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wear those boots but I do think they're nice! xo

Those boots are gorgeous, we have amazing taste Cassie ;) I'm scared of the heel now! Would you wear them in the day? love the new background too! xxx
ReplyDelete@daisy chain - they are delicious! my favourite sweets.
ReplyDelete@pearlslaceandruffles - I'm debating whether I'd wear them too!
@daisy kate - They scare me too!! I think I would, but I don't want to be the girl everyone stares at because she can't walk in heels! I won't be able to manage the cobbles in Manchester in these.
i don't wear heels often if i'm honest, however i love the boots, and would definitely wear them loads if i had a pair. in my opinion you'd get a lot of wear out of them because they're versatile and could be worn repeatedly with many outfits.
ReplyDeleteand seeing as they're pretty cheap you may as well go for it :D hehe

Such good gifts, loving the big tub of milk bottles :) I would say wear them around the house a bit, am currently debating to keep a pair of heels too as I think I will kill myself in them and they were expensive!

I've done it before and bought massive heels only to then sit and ponder as to whether they are just to high... If you really think you'll wear them, then keep them. But it would be such a shame to keep only wear them once or twice. If you think you're going to feel self-conscious when the walking starts then I'd give them a swop for something else x
ReplyDeleteSorry, my English in that comment was dreadful!
ReplyDeletethose boots are amazing! good luck walking in them though haha :) xo
ReplyDeletecute shoes! x hivennn.
