The Michael Kors Green Maxi Skirt

Michael Kors collection for SS11 was one of my favourites of the season. It oozed summer from every fabricated pore and conjured connotations of balmy evenings and long, sandy beaches with every casually luxe look that breezed down the runway. One look in particular caught my eye; a certain meadow green maxi skirt, paired with a simple, fine knit sweater, a messenger bag nonchalantly swung over one shoulder and a pair of 'flatforms'(the only form of platform shoe which doesn't immediately make me want to make a purchase).

To buy the entire outfit from the store itself would more than likely cause me to experience bankruptcy, seeing as I have just become a part of that hope-extinguishing statistic of being a graduate who hasn't gone straight into a job. However, my purse seems to always stretch its seams that extra mile for a little piece of Topshop and finally they have come up with the key element of Look 8 from the runway; the green maxi skirt.

Topshop £40

All I need to do now is find the ideal sweater and I'll be working this look across the sandy shores of Exmouth in no time.

Thanks for bearing with me over the past week (or two). It's been insanely hectic with moving out of my flat, heading to Glastonbury, and coming back home to find I will be taking up residence in a caravan for the foreseeable future. Yes, you read that right. I'll post a picture and write an update soon.

  1. What a gorgeous colour! I would never have thought a green maxi skirt could work but it does look so beautiful. And £40 doesn't seem to be standard Topshop extortion either! (£36 with your student discount...would be rude not to get the last few days wear out of it!)
