Motel Rocks Bloggers Evening

Last Thursday I attended the Motel Rocks Bloggers evening. It's always difficult for me to get to events in London because I live and work in Devon, but with the offer of cocktails, cupcakes, the chance to view the new Christmas collection AND take home an item of my choice, I'm sure you'll agree that it was too good an opportunity to miss out on. With Selina from Flying Saucer in charge of invites, the event turned out to be a total blog fest and I got to meet some of my favourite bloggers including Kate, Lily and Charlene. These kind of events are always daunting to me, but as my friend Jordanna and I soon discovered, it was nothing a few mojitos couldn't help with...

I wore the Motel Rocks 'Claudia'* dress to the evening, while Jordanna wore a gorgeous leather dress from H&M, which I now need in my wardrobe. My leopard print bag is from Accessorize and her tapestry shoes are from Office.

The girls from Glossybox were also at the evening, including the lovely Lily who I'd met previously at the Look Show. We could also get some nail art done courtesy of Emma from Boom Nails, but unfortunately, by the time we got there the list was already as long as my arm! After the event we were lucky enough to choose an item from the collection to take home. Being my typically indecisive self, I couldn't choose something on the night, so I'm still deciding. Help me?

The first black dress would be quite a typical choice for me, being somewhat of a black dress collector, while the second black dress has the mesh detailing, Stella McCartney inspired feel that I've been coveting for a while. The sequin dress was shown at the evening in black and seemed to be a favourite amongst a lot of the bloggers. Finally, the playsuit was available in a range of colours on the night including a gorgeous oxblood shade. I love it, but the short length and seriously dramatic plunge neck worries me. What do you think?

Puma Meets Vice in Manchester

Tuesday 24th May sees Vice magazine join forces with PUMA to present to you an epic After Hours party at Manchester's Deaf Institute. Expect free booze and food alongside the sounds of Visions of Trees and Gold Teeth, and entertainment provided by House of Hot Breath and World Series of Pong. In addition to this, Vice and Puma are offering the opportunity to win £500, a stack load of Puma goods and the chance to be featured in Vice magazine!

What do you have to do to be in with a chance of winning? The rules are pretty simple - snap a photo of you and your 'team' mates playing out in true After Hours spirit. To submit your photo and view your competition  you can enter HERE.

You know this is the best way to spend your Tuesday evening, so get down there on 24th May, 8pm-2am.

CDFA 2010: Sarah Jessica Parker

A beautiful McQueen gown, and such a sensational palette of colours that suit her so well. The gown's a statement, but the hair is a tad too casual. Scrap the bracelets and the bag that just doesn't go, spruce up the hair, keep the earrings and voila! Would have been perfect for me.

CFDA 2010: Jessica Stam

She's fast rising up on my favourite model list, higher than Magdalena? Not quite. Saying that, does anybody know where on Earth Magdalena Frackowiak is? I haven't seen her at/on the cover of/featuring in anything since the A/W catwalks.

Jessica has joined a mulitple of celebrites and models to be wearing a half-sheer, black maxi dress. Not sure I'm liking the look, but overall she looks stunning.
