London Fashion Week AW11: My Top 5

What were your favourite collections at LFW? I didn't feel it was as exciting as NYFW, but there were still some great collections. Burberry was just amazing, and I think it deserves its own post. I'm still trying to get my head around Erdem's new dark, grunge twist, but it will probably turn out to be a stroke of genius.

Holly Fulton for ASOS

Move over Lanvin and H&M, there's a new collaboration in town, and one I'm far more excited about. Holly Fulton has created a capsule collection for ASOS, consisting of shirts, leggings, dresses and skirts. They're all instantly recognisable to those in the 'fashion know' as Fulton pieces, as they feature the heavy, graphic prints, which have become her signature, coupled with strikingly vibrant colours. More excitingly, she has also designed a necklace for the range. I fell in love with Holly's jewellery when her collections opened the show for Fashion East s/s 2010. I'm awful at accessorising with jewellery, I just never buy it, so I much prefer getting statement pieces which you can build your outfit around. I'd layer this necklace with some really simple basics and let it do all the talking. It's just a shame that at the moment there's only one piece available. Hopefully there will be more to come.

A Promising Future...

Holly Fulton's collection has caught my eye. Fresh and new on the fashion map, the collection is vibrant, based around simple, well cut shapes. The seemingly simple designs are strong, almost androgenous.... However, the clothes are iced with intricate feminine detailing, including a massive penchant for using Swarovski crystals. I particularly love the warmth and boldness of the orange.....it makes me think back to Louis Vuittons earlier pieces this year, with tribal detailing including the shoe: 'Spicy'. 

The overall collection for me, exuded strong, powerful female sexiness with a futuristic edge. I think I might have some kind of eyebrow fetish developing too....I really loved these!
