Summertime

Summertime is just around the corner, and it can't come soon enough. I want to fly off with my boyfriend to somewhere sunny, with sandy beaches and turquoise water - and to look a quarter as beautiful as Anja. Bring on the sunshine and cold, fruit cider by the beach!

Stunning: Jessica Stam

Found this editorial today on fashiongonerogue, and it's absolutely stunning. I love the second photo, looks like Jessica Stam is being taken up into the sky amongst the birds, and how she looks almost like an apparition in the final one. You can see the full shoot here , and it's well worth a look.

Abbey Lee Kershaw Video

I just caught this video on Catwalk Queen of Abbey Lee being interviewed. She's not at all like I expected her to be. She's always intrigued me because some people label her as a 'bad girl' model with her nose piercing and kind of anti-glamour look, yet I always remember in September, seeing her walk for Versace and she looked so stunning and beautiful. So I'm not sure what I was expecting, but she has a really soft accent, that kind of reminded me of Olivia Newton John in Grease, and comes across with a really likeable character. Like I said in my previous post, I really enjoy seeing video footage of models. It's nice to put a personality to the person who you see hundreds of photographs of. 

 and just to make her even more enviable, her styling is great. I have a thing for lots and lots of jewellery on your wrists and fingers, and she shows off exactly how it should be done!

Sensational

I think this photo shoot is absolutely stunning! I love the styling and having never seen Simona McIntyre before I think she is definitly one I will be keeping my eyes peeled for in the future. How sensational does she look in that first shot? The Victorian-esque full length dress is beautiful too.

Though, the following photo was one I wasn't such a fan of, the headdress is very Lady Gaga don't you think? Surely, she will have her name on the waiting list (if there is one!).

Love these shots. Reminds me of when you walk down to the kitchen late at night and get the feeling you're being watched by someone. The distorted, misty view makes it look like she's being spied on, as does the slightly haunted look in her eyes. Really like the layering of accessories, the explosion of metal-esque fringed spikes and the chainmail hat...though don't feel like hat is really the right word?

Colour Camouflage

This photography is stunning. The use of colour is so vibrant it's impossible to miss. I love how Karen Elson is almost blended away into the throw behind her in the second photo, her porcelain skin, auburn hair and stunning beauty really shining through. A set of striking photography that also manages to capture the mystical enchantment of beauty.

Lara Stone at Jean Paul Gaultier

I've not really been a fan of Lara Stone, undeniably stunning as she is. I haven't quite understood the hype surrounding her or the new found love of gaps in front teeth a la Abbey Lee, Georgia May Jagger and Lara.

But occasionally I come across photos which I love of Lara and here are two of them. 'Those eyes! Those lips!'

Georgia Frost for Velvet

A layer of tulle, blood red lips, a shimmer of sparkle, a piece from my favourite Chanel collection and a classic red knit that fires up my passion for chunky knitwear this winter.

All in all a sum up of perfection.

Can't Wait to Get Home for Christmas

Because I'll finally be able to spend time with my family and friends...and especially my beautiful nephew and nieces.

I love the photo of her lying down with the rabbit and pulling the sheet up to her face. There's something very enchanting about that photo, maybe hidden in her facial expression that you can't quite determine. I love it when photos really get my attention.

Bunny

I could sit and look at this photo for a long time. Cintia is one of my all time favourite models. She brings a fresh innocence to her shoots, that is so pretty.

Tea and Cake

Very reminiscient of Alice having tea with the Mad Hatter and March Hare, this shoot makes me feel as though the photographer has just stumbled across something much darker than a stunning model snacking on cupcakes and sipping on....blood red tea?

If there was ever murder in a tea cup, then this shot has caught it.

I can't WAIT...

for when the days of 'glunge', the unattractive collaboration of the words 'grunge' and 'glamourous' to describe this seasons biggest trend, are over. When black and studs and spikes and leather and all of this season is over. I know I'm a bundle of contradictions because I do like that look. I'm starting to buy ALOT of black, and starting to believe it's the only shade that looks good. Now this is strange, because I used to have a wardrobe full of colour....but I love black dresses, chunky ankle boots, my Topshop OTK suede boots, lots of lacy texture...the vampy, gothic look that has been so huge this Winter. And I also love the other wintery trends like the heavy, chunky knitwear.

But I'm bored of it. So bored of it, and I can completely see where designers were coming from for their S/S 2010 collections. It didn't really take much genius to see that we're going to need a huge break from 10 shades of black and grey, and so will relish the thought of the sugar-sweet pastels that will lighten up our springtime steps.

I've just spotted the new H&M campaigns featuring Chanel Iman, and a couple collaborations of grey and pastel shades reminded me of just how much I'm longing for some girly, prettiness...yes flowers, yes chiffon and yes PINK!
