Everytime I scroll through Topshop's dress section, I keep being drawn to this dress, but never buying it. Even writing this post, I'm still undecided so let me know what you think. It's quite Luella inspired, and very pretty.
And I had to post this because every time I see it, I think of Prada's s/s10 collection, but think is such a poor highstreet version.
It's too overly complicated with the print, the odd back and the lace details. The palm trees remind me of hairy black spiders, which is never good. Has anyone seen any good designer inspired pieces on the highstreet? Thinking of Luella, I'm sure Matalan did an almost exact copy of her heart cut out dresses.

The End of Luella
Luella has stopped trading today, and it's such a shame. A label I loved for it's unashamedly feminine and girly designs....yes the candy-floss pink, cloud of a dress, the sweet heart cut outs, the vibrant florals...seriously all of it. S/S 2010 was such a fun collection. Such a sweet refreshment to the darkness and grunge of Autumn/Winter with its leather, studs and general blackness. I particularly loved the revival of the sixties era, in more modern clean cuts, and blocks of colour in all the sickly sweet pastel shades we'll all be wearing come May.
If you want to get your hands on some last minute Luella get to her site now, as everything has been discounted. I'm far too poor to get any, but would welcome donations...in my dreams. Enjoy! You might not get the chance again.
Let me know what you get!
