Vogue UK's September issue has just been released and I'm so pleased to see their cover girl is modern-day supermodel, Karlie Kloss. Photographed for her debut by Nick Knight, Karlie wears a seventies style outfit by British designer Jonathan Saunders. I'm not overly keen on the look, however, this is meant to be Vogue's 'biggest fashion issue', so maybe the editorial will make up for it. 

Admittedly, it's not the most exciting of covers for September, but I am happy enough that they've featured Karlie. I collect all of my Vogue magazines, but if I didn't this would definitely make it into the 'keeper' pile, which is my measure of a good cover.

Cara Delevingne Covers Russh Magazine September 2012

Seeing models on the covers of magazines is far too rare an occurrence, in my opinion. It's understandable that actresses and singers are guaranteed big sellers for magazines, but it's always great to see your favourite models show everyone how it's done. Since seeing her years ago on the pages of ASOS, Cara Delevingne has been one of my all-time favourite models and now she covers Russh magazine, sporting the studded gloves from Burberry's Fall 2012 show. Although it doesn't quite beat her Jalouse cover for me, it's still fantastic. How brilliant would it be to see her on the cover of Vogue UK? Lara Stone, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Agyness Deyn have scored covers in the past, so it's feasible.

Do you prefer to see models on the covers of magazines? Do you like Cara's Russh cover?

Vogue on Vogue

What happens when you superimpose Vogue cover on top of Vogue cover on top of Vogue cover? Well, below is your answer. These covers have done exactly that and I think the results are stunning. I wish Vogue would actually do a cover like this. Maybe a special December issue for subscribers, as a kind of beautiful retrospective of the previous years issues?

I was shopping in Liverpool yesterday and noticed that the latest issue of ELLE UK has hit the newstands, which means that my copy is all alone in my Manchester mail box. I'm so impatient to read magazines, I almost bought the newstand version as the cover is really nice. I'm usually loyal to the subscribers issue. 

What do you think of these covers? Do you think Vogue should bring out an issue with a cover like this?
