Magdalena is Dazed & Confused

Magdalena Frackowiak is my favourite model though in very close competition with Natasha Poly. Her look is completely captivating, so it comes as no great shock that this editorial stole my attention. However, the photos themselves weren't the only things that interested me. I haven't read this issue of Dazed and Confused, but I'm intrigued to by the comments of Viktor and Rolf.

"It's natural to look for ways to turn a show into something more of an experience."

I couldn't agree more. I'm somewhat obsessed with fashion being about artistry and performance as well as about more conventional style, and the progression and development of trends. Someone who always epitomises for me, fashion as art, is Lady Gaga and she expresses the same kind of notion herself. Don't quote me on this, but I remember reading in an interview somewhere, that she sees herself as a walking piece of art or something along those lines, I guess an explanation for her eclectic and avant-garde sense of style.

So here are some of my favourite shots from Dazed and Confused, with Magadalena in Viktor and Rolf's S/S 2010 collection (which persistently makes me think that those gowns were created with the aid of a hundred mice, nibbling away at the tulle like it was cheddar). You can find the rest here.

Who's your favourite model? And do you see fashion as art?
